Welcome to Mini Broomhill — a creative play town designed for little adventurers and their grown-ups. What began as a simple idea to create more space for families to play and connect has grown into a vibrant community hub within Broomhill Methodist Centre, where imaginations thrive, friendships blossom, and everyone is welcome.

For the past 18 months, Mini Broomhill has been running as a trial project — and the response from local families has been incredible. Parents and carers told us they were crying out for an open, accessible place where children could play freely while adults could relax, recharge, and enjoy time together. That heartfelt feedback confirmed what we already felt — that there was a real social need in our community, and we wanted to meet it.

At the same time, the Broomhill Methodist Centre has been undergoing exciting changes, including the addition of a state-of-the-art climbing wall, created in partnership with Broomhill Climbing Works. This new space brings fresh energy and opportunity, for movement, creativity, and togetherness. Whether you’re here to climb, explore, or simply catch up with friends over coffee, Mini Broomhill is a space to feel at home.

As Rose Durant, Building and Community Manager at Broomhill Methodist Centre, beautifully puts it:

“Our dream is that we are a space where all are welcome, there is no judgment and that deeper conversations can flow, and we have seen this happen already. One of our regular visitors described coming to Mini Broomhill as their sanctuary and that the weekly meeting had been a lifeline for her and her daughter during her maternity leave.”
